A rare Augsburg penner is depicted. Similar to the French Baradelle penners, this instrument is a portable writing compendium containing multiple tools including pen knife, pen holder, inkwell, sander, steel parchment-pricker / bodkin, and additional storage for seal capabilities. The penner tests positive for low gold content. Assembled Length: 13.5 cm.

Depicted is a commemorative set of pencils similar to those produced in the mid-nineteenth century by A.W. Faber, varying from extra soft to extremely hard for writing on a variety of surfaces and various shading methods.
The Faber-Castell Company, later known as A.W. Faber, was established in the year 1761 in Stein, Germany. The founder was a cabinet maker named Kaspar Faber (1730–84). Impressively, the company has been under the stewardship of the Faber family for a span of eight generations.
